Tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Tregagle, Robin's Barn, a designated Local Wildlife Site, boasts spectacular, far reaching views over the beautiful, unspoilt Wye Valley and beyond to Offa's Dyke and the Forest of Dean. Robins Barn is situated next to the owners' secluded home, sleeps 2 adults and a child and features a cosy living area with wood burner, attractive spiral staircase leading to the upstairs accommodation, private terrace with glorious views and footpaths leading from the door. Robins Barn is an old cider barn - with a downstairs open plan living area consisting of kitchen , lounge and dining area. A spiral staircase leads to a small landing, a double bedroom , a small single bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and WC. Heating is electric and the downstairs area has a lovely log burner for which logs are supplied free. The barn is accessed by a narrow lane that ends 100 meters beyond us where the path enters the woods. Ample parking in front of the barn. The Barn has a spiral staircase to access the bedrooms and steps down to the patio. We live next door and welcome our guests and are available to answer questions / queries and make recommendations on activities etc We provide a full info pack and recommended walks in the barn or by e mail beforehand. Situated in a small hamlet, at the end of a country lane above the Wye valley, surrounded by 12 acres of meadows, which then open into a large area of woodland with paths down to the River Wye. Extensive views across the river and valley to the Forest of Dean and beyond. In the spring, the surrounding meadows are covered in wild daffodils and the neighbouring wood is resplendent with bluebells. A perfect spot for enjoying a peaceful, relaxing break. Situated just 5 miles from Monmouth an ancient market town which is well catered for with supermarkets and shops. There are numerous Castles and Abbeys to visit . The Black mountains, Brecon Beacons and Cardiff are less than 1 hour's drive away. Bath and Bristol are also within 1 hour's drive. There is plenty of parking outside the barn and it is possible to lock bicycles in one of our outbuildings during your stay. There is a local bus service to and from Monmouth daily. A popular pastime for our guests is to walk the 5 miles there, downhill most of the way, and along paths mainly, and return by bus. Robins Barn is a very quiet location ideally located for Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke long distance path. During March - October the Barn is let for a period of 7 days with changeover day on a Saturday which provides the most competitive pricing for our guests
