1820's Immell Farmstead

Stay at our relaxing 1820's farmhouse with luxurious accommodations! Close to I-81 and only 30 minutes from Gettysburg, approximately 15 minutes from Shippensburg University, Volvo Construction Equipment, Wilson College and from the Appalachian Trail. This is a quiet get-away close to a lot of history and activities. Our homestead is almost 200 years old with original flooring and decor that compliments that era. We have a gazebo, beautiful gardens and a wrap around porch with relaxing views of the surrounding mountains for your enjoyment. There is also a fun play area at the side of the house for your children The Master Suite, located upstairs, has an attached bathroom and gas fireplace. A shared, comfortable sitting area is located just outside your bedroom door on the second floor landing for reading, computer work, conversation or eating. There is a mini fridge stocked with cold beverages and a Keurig for hot beverages. Downstairs your space will include a private parlor with piano and pump organ for your pleasure. There is also a card table that can be set up for puzzles, games, crafts, or study. Beautiful gardens, gazebo and play area are available for your rest and enjoyment all summer. Chambersburg is a small town close to plenty of shopping, activities and historic sites. A large antique mall is 10 min drive from the house. In July we have a re-enactment of the burning of Chambersburg. Information on that can be (Email hidden by Airbnb) . Gettysburg is 30 min away, The Appalachian Trail is a 15 min drive from our house with Mr. Ed's and the Totem Pole Playhouse just a few miles further down the road. You can visit all of this on your way to Gettysburg! Also Shippensburg University is 20 minutes north and Wilson College 10 minutes south of us. Lyft and Uber is available in our area but no public bus transportation.
