Burnside Cottage

Sleeps 4 – 1 large double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom (Can also be made as 2 large double bedrooms) This superb semi-detached cottage is set slightly apart from the rest of the cottages on the estate. Situated next to a stream and with a shared lawned garden, the cottage is ideal for a small family to enjoy a Scottish break away. The living accommodation is accessed by four internal steps and features a farmhouse-style kitchen with a Belfast sink. An excellent cottage for a family holiday in magnificent surroundings. The sitting room boasts an open fire, whilst up the wooden staircase are two cosy bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities. The bedrooms have super king-size double beds, one of which can be made into a twin on request. Both have en-suite shower, basin and WC. (can’t be two twins) Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area Guests have access to the entire space. Guests are also welcome to walk around the Castle estate grounds. Cloncaird Castle is one of Scotland’s true hidden gems. Dating back to the 15th century, it stands in 140 acres of stunning surroundings beside the river Girvan at Kirkmichael, Ayrshire. We are only a short drive from Prestwick International Airport and one hour ten minutes from Glasgow Airport. Kirkmichael is the local village and the historic town of Ayr is nearby. Cloncaird Castle is located on the banks of the beautiful River Girvan. This setting gives the park a very exclusive feel and the estate also provides a superb base for exploring this stunning region of south-west Scotland. Walking and hiking tracks are plentiful in the area which is a paradise for keen equestrians. Our holiday cottages are also within easy reach of many Top Ayrshire Golf courses such as Turnberry, Prestwick and Troon.
