Family Home in Quintessential English Village

Set on the village green, next to the church, this is an idyllic setting right in the middle of a network of footpaths and bridleways. A few minutes stroll to the local pub with a lovely pub garden, roaring fire and playground. This is the perfect country retreat to totally relax and unwind. If you love walking and the outdoors, you have it all on your doorstep. Cosy up next to the fire, or amble up to the pub for a Sunday roast or a drink. Toys for the children; board games for the grown ups and even your very own pub 'The Winchester Arms' hidden in the wall of the snug. The living room is the perfect country cottage family room with a log burner for winter evenings and french windows opening out to a patio and a south facing garden in the Summer. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with a range of Neff appliances, two ovens, warming drawers, Nespresso machine, induction hob as well as blue tooth speakers, a piano and a large oak dining table. Step from the kitchen into a cosy snug with a bar hidden in the wall. From the kitchen, large french doors open up onto a well kept south facing courtyard with garden furniture ready for al fresco dining (complete with a webber BBQ). As the sun goes down, you will notice that there are no street lights and as the village is perched high on the downs far away from light pollution, this is a perfect spot for star gazing. Back inside, a spiral staircase leads upstairs to three bedrooms; Two doubles overlooking the village green and Church (a beautiful sight to wake up to) and a single/twin children's room. This house is ideal for families with children, but toddlers might need a little extra help negotiating the spiral staircase. The garden almost merges into the village green which is big enough for any ball games you might fancy, as long as you don't mind random children and occasional dogs joining in! With the church next door, the bells can be heard ringing on Sunday mornings and most Tuesday evenings. You will have access to the whole house. We do have a shared drive so ask that you are considerate to our neighbour and stay within our boundary (which is not completely fenced) and do not block the driveway or let your four legged friends stray. There is a key safe for you to access the house keys on arrival, a detailed 'house manual' and we are on the end of the phone for any problems or queries but aside from that we will leave you to it. Hannington is a beautiful rural village with welcoming natives . The house is set right on the village green next to a 12th century Church and a two minute walk to the local friendly pub The Vine. For more information about the pub, search The Vine Pub Hannington. You will need a car but if you need access into London, Basingstoke offers a service to Waterloo which is only 50minutes. The house is a five minute drive from Kingsclere with local shops, butchers, chemist, and restaurants. It is also near Highclere Castle, and The Vyne National Trust Property and a 20 minute drive to Newbury and Basingstoke, with Winchester a little further. You will be very at home at The Vine, our much loved village pub (which has a take away menu including a very tasty fish and chips) but if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk 2.5 miles to the Bell & Dragon in Kingsclere almost entirely on footpaths. A trip to the Bombay Saphire distillery is recommended or Highclere castle (the scene of Downton Abbey).
