Offering beautiful scenic views, the Grapes Hotel, Bar & Restaurant in Maentwrog is a 17th-century inn found in the Vale of Ffestiniog in Snowdonia. The Hotel is ideally located to explore some of the best attractions in North Wales Snowdonia (12 miles),Portmeirion (5 miles), Zip World (5 miles). The restaurant is one of the most popular venues for locally sourced food and drink in the area. Booking is a must. Our cottages have been sensitively refurbished to a high standard, they are small, snug, yet still keeping the original feel and charm of a traditional welsh cottage. Traditional furniture and original features mean that the cottages have charm with modern and quality fixtures mean that our guests don’t have to compromise on style or practicality. The Grapes Hotel, Bar & Restaurant is now a family owned business, having bought the freehold from a brewery when its doors was closed in January 2016. There has been extensive work carried out since 2016 which includes the refurbishment of two quarry cottages available to let all year round, a new games cavern, a superb balcony to the rear of the hotel leading to a large patio and children's play area. Maentwrog is located in the centre of the Snowdonia region, giving easy access to the area’s other towns. The busy coastal town of Porthmadog is a 13-minute drive, with Dolgellau, beside the Cader Idris Mountains, just under 30 minutes away.
