Retro retreat, fabulously located on the shore of Loch Harport, opposite the famous Talisker whisky distillery and just a few minutes drive from the mighty Cuillin hills. The cottage has a unique interior with mid century furniture, handmade wallpaper and many vintage collectables and has appeared in Conde Nast Traveller, The Guardian newspaper and Coast magazine. Surrounded by wildlife and spectacular mountain scenery this is the perfect base from which to enjoy Skye. This white-washed cottage has an enviable loch side position on the beautiful Isle of Skye, just a few metres from the world famous Talisker whisky distillery. Inside is a super-stylish 1950’s-inspired home, so if natural beauty and mid century style are your thing, you’ll love all the nostalgic-inducing attention to detail and quirky, designer finish. Sustainability and the environment are very important to us! The cottage is heated by wood burning stove, which heats the hot water and radiators. It's very cosy but you cant just press a button! You will need to bring your wood in from the wood store in the garden and light the stove to keep things toasty (there is an electric heater if you need an quick boost on a chilly morning chilly morning). We also enjoy a break from tech and screens so there is no TV in the cottage. There is a great 4G signal in the village so if you need to keep online and in touch it's no problem :) The Caora Dhubh Coffee Company, a well stocked village shop and popular pub The Old Inn are all within a few minutes walk from the cottage. There is a residents parking space right outside the front door and the Cuillin hills, Fairy Pools and spectacular beaches of Glenbrittle and Talisker Bay are just a short drive away.
