The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. Conveniently located off Interstate-12. We are in a quiet, older, wooded neighborhood. Our bee hives are on the back of the one acre property. Pam was a flight attendant for 35 years and is known to be an excellent hostess. Please note--Because of allergies, we can't accommodate animals. High and Dry! The quaint comfortable home for rent, a living room, full kitchen, laundry room and a large wooded yard with 55' patio. WiFi internet is available. Cable TV is in the living room. Bedroom has a smart TV with HD antenna. Tchefuncte Gardens Upstairs is centrally located between Old Mandeville, downtown Covington and Madisonville. Restaurants, local breweries, pubs, coffee houses, tiny shops, art galleries, nature trails, bike paths, the Tchefuncte River and the Ponchartrain lakefront are all within a short driving distance away. Fountainbleau State Park in and Fairview State Park are also located in our area. We are also close to The Global Wildlife Center and the Abita Brewery. Several grocery stores and pharmacies are nearby. We are located :45 minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans, You have access to the shared living room, kitchen, breakfast room, laundry room, and patio. Feel free to wander around the beautiful yard, swing on the patio and enjoy nature in the woods and protected wet lands behind our house. You may even see a deer or two if you're still and quiet. We love our home and hope you will too. We have lived in the New Orlean area since 1976 and can answer lots of questions and provide help you may need about where to go. If you want to learn about bee-keeping, my husband loves to talk about his "girls." You may text or call if you have questions. Our neighborhood is quiet and wooded with some amazing ancient live oak trees that are registered with the Live Oak Society. This is an older established area with mature vegetation and quiet streets for walking or running. Our home backs up to protected wetlands and a bayou that flows into the Tchefuncte River. There is no public transportation in St. Tammany Parish, but we have Mandeville Taxi and Uber. This guest room is upstairs. The bathroom has a tub and is across the hall from the room.
