Private room with en suite

Huge comfy sofa bed & en suite shower room in our family home near Ashdown Forest. A continental breakfast is included although with notice we can serve locally sourced bacon & eggs. Although we are in a rural location we are on a good bus route and within easy access of major routes - Gatwick airport is a 30 minute drive away whilst nearest rail station is Haywards Heath. This is an idyllic location with two amazing country pubs and some lovely forest walks just seconds away! Our guest room features a king size sofa bed and an en suite shower room. It is a peaceful room with a view of our large garden where you'll spot a variety of birds and occasionally deer. We provide some basic creature comforts including facilities to make tea and coffee, bottled water and shampoo, shower gel, along with towels. The room is suitable for two guests although we could accommodate a baby if you have a travel cot. We have meals in the dining room or Al Fresco, weather dependant. Guests are welcome to join us in the living room. We are a family with two teenage children and four fluffy cats, all of whom love guests. Whilst the cats aren't allowed in the guest room, if you don't like cats our house probably isn't for you! is a lovely rural neighbourhood, some three miles from the nearest shop. We are on the edge of the Ashdown Forest so there are plenty of lovely walks through the forest with the opportunity to spot the wildlife. We have two fantastic pubs within half a mile – both have a great atmosphere and serve fantastic food. If you’re a horse-rider then you’re spoilt for choice as we have both Chelwood Equestrian and East View Stables only a mile away. Although, if you’d like to go hacking on the forest please remember to pre-book. We are also near to Sheffield Park National Trust site, and Bluebell Railway, as well as the Llama Park. The 270 bus goes all the way from Brighton to East Grinstead, and also stops at Haywards Heath. There are lots of lovely forest walks just moments away, and we can provide maps. However, it can get muddy so please bring wellies and consider a spare set of clothes! There are two fantastic pubs, The Red Lion and The Coach & Horses, just a few minutes walk away. We are approximately 5 minutes drive from The Ashdown Park Hotel so if you're attending an event there but want to save on room fees, our house is perfect.
