Kookaburra cottage needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated . It is a 2 bedroom cottage, including a loft bedroom. Its located back amongst the trees in a very private setting. It has its own fully fenced yard as well as its own vegetable gardens and chook house. Awaken to the sounds of the birds and enjoy a morning coffee whilst watching the family of kangaroos that live nearby. The A framed corrugated iron cottage has an ambience that makes you just want to sit back, breath and relax. The cottage has a spacious open feel with a large main bedroom . The second bedroom is up in the loft, with access from a slide out ladder so not suitable for younger children or the elderly. The bathroom is basic but very comfortable. The cottage has recently undergone a makeover with a new kitchen ,appliances, paint and carpets. It has a fireplace which keeps the cottage warm and cosy even on the coldest of nights. The outdoor fire has ample seating and a table, so it's the perfect space to sit back after a day exploring, to enjoy a glass or 2 of the granite belts best wines. Kookaburra Ridge Farm Stay is located only 5 minutes out of Stanthorpe. With main road frontage whilst being setback from the main road, it has a definite secluded country feel. Applethorpe is a rural town known for it's production of apples, and is in the souther downs region of QLD. Relax and enjoy the morning birds singing, the night star filled sky. The warmth of the fireplace whist enjoying some of the local cheese and wines. Relax around the fire pit watching the local kangaroos that pass directly past the cottage. If you need to unwind and are looking for a peaceful place to take time out and relax, then Kangaroo Cottage has the vibe that you are looking for. And it's only 5 minutes from town. Being a 75 acre working farm in season, with 9 dams and a seasonal running creek at the rear of the property, there is plenty to explore. The breakfast pack we supply includes a dozen of our Kookaburra Ridge eggs, a Cob loaf of bread from a local bakery, a selection of cereals and a litre of milk. We also supply cooking oils, butter and a range of condiments. Also tea, and a coffee machine with 4 different coffees to choose from.
