Trumpets called Clarions were found in post-Roman Europe. A Clarion has clear tones, a dictionary calls it "brilliantly clear". Because of the additional cleaning needed when pets are boarded, there will be a $20 a day pet fee for each pet, due in advance and payable directly to your host upon arrival. This helps pay for the additional cleaning of pet hair. Pet owners are responsible for any damages caused by their pets. Pets must never be left alone except when secured in a kennel. Pets must always be on a lease when outdoors, and all pet feces must be removed from the ground bagged and deposited in the trash receptacle provided. Thank you for respecting our Pet Friendly Rules, we hope you and your pet enjoy your stay. The garage is inaccessible to guests. The fenced in yard attached to the rear of the apartment is inaccessible to guests due to liability issues. Smoking is not permitted inside the guesthouse, smoking outdoors is permitted, kindly do not leave butts on premises. Thank you... Minimal. This over the garage apt is located in the Sweetbrier subdivision, which was originally part of George Washington's boyhood home of which the Washington Family referred to as the "Ferry Farm" because of the working Ferry Boat located there on the bank of the Rappahannock River. It's just a 5 minute drive to downtown historic Fredericksburg, the National Military Park, Mary Washington’s home, and many more historical sites to visit. You can also enjoy the afternoon strolling through town in a horse drawn carriage, or hop on the Trolly for guided history tour of the town at the Fredericksburg welcome center. Private drive and plenty of parking. Pets may be walked throughout the neighborhood, but please be mindful of the residents and remove all pet feces.
