At certain times, bikes can be hired from the Dirty Habit pub, which is also dog friendly and serves wonderful food. There is also room for your own bikes at the property. A Beautiful village set in productive farmland and An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village church has historic links to the Culpepper family, which owned nearby Leeds Castle. A visit to the castle is highly recommended. The Pilgrims Way offers a gentle walk or the beginning of a personal pilgrimage. Pubs are dotted along the way, or you can take the train from Hollingbourne into London or further into the Kent countryside, and Canterbury. The village is popular with walkers and cyclists, and dog owners. Hollingbourne also retains its village store, which also serves coffee and cake. A bus service runs from Hollingbourne Church into the nearby county town of Maidstone. There is also a main line rail station in the village (15 min walk).
