This cottage is near to one of the new UNESCO World Heritage sites for 'Wales Slate' - Nantlle Valley Slate Quarry Landscape. The spacious double bedroom up stairs has twin aspect windows and a day bed (single bed size) for a child: 1 BEDROOM: 1 double bed and 1 day bed (single bed size), this bedroom is on the 1st floor. Bed linen provided. This is room ideal for 2 adults and 1 child. SHOWER ROOM/WC: Shower cubicle, WC and hand wash basin on ground floor . KITCHEN BREAKFAST ROOM: Modern fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and microwave. LOUNGE: Lovely and cosy with flat screen TV/DVD with freeview chanels, electric wood burning stove fire. CENTRAL HEATING & ELECTRICITY: Inclusive. Timed electric heaters. FRONT GARDEN AREA: Next to the front door there is an enclosed gravel area with outside table & chairs. BACK GARDEN: A larger shared garden with outside sitting area is available, shared with Zig Zag Cottage. This area is enclosed and dogs must be under control here due to being a shared area. PARKING: Room for parking in front of the cottage, next door to the Front Garden Area. DOGS: we would accept up to 2 dogs at this property, however, we would ask for £40 pet charge. LINEN: Yes TOWELS: At this time, due to Covid regulations, we are asking Guests bring their own TOWELS and TEA TOWELS for yours and the host safety. WIFI: Yes and unlimited. There a plenty of walks from the doorstep of this end cottage just outside the village of Llanllyfni, 7 miles from Caernarfon and 10 miles from Porthmadog. Situated near the begining of the Nantlle Ridge, a local challenge of mountain ridges between Snowdon and the Sea. Snowdon itself is 11 miles away and the closest carpark and path up the highest mountian in Wales is at Rhyd Ddu (8 mls). Dowlais Cottage is only 4 miles from the award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle. Caernarfon town (7 mls) has plenty of shops and places to eat down 'Hole in the Wall' street which is adjacent to the magnificent castle standing guard on the harbourside. Llanberis (12 mls) is another must do with steam trains going up Snowdon from the village and footpaths acending it's lofty heights. Lots to do in the area from visiting Wetland reserves, indoor climbing centre, walking on the beach or climbing mountains. Recommended area for easy access to Snowdonia, Lleyn peninsula and Anglesey. PLEASE respect and follow them in the spirit they are given: CHECK IN: PLEASE arrive no earlier than 4:00 pm so the cleaners have plenty of time to clean and sanitise the property for you. 1) Please TIDY AND CLEAN THE PROPERTY at the end of your stay, this is to protectors the cleaners. 2) Beds that have been used must be stripped and the BED LINEN put into BIN BAGS. 3) ALL RUBBISH & RECYCLING MUST BE REMOVED from the property at the end of your stay and put in the outside bins. Please ensure that you sort your refuse appropriately. 4) CHECK OUT BEFORE 10AM PLEASE so we are able to start cleaning and sanitising the property. You must not invite anyone inside the property apart from the persons compromising the original party at the time that the Booking was made IF the Welsh Assembly Government have set 'households limits'.
