Sanctuary- a place to rest and refresh

Welcome to our home! This home is in a quiet neighborhood 10 - 15 minutes from downtown. We are close to all of the major highways around and through the city. We do our best to make your stay comfortable, restful, and pleasant. We offer a hearty, healthy breakfast. If you are a returning guest, please remind us. You will get a 15% discount on your stay. One word of advice - I cater to travelers who prefer a good night’s sleep. Other homes fit night owls better than mine. Thank you. Wally The bedrooms and your private bathroom are up one set of stairs. The washer, dryer and iron, if needed, are in the basement. There is one available closet in each room for your use. Extra blankets are available. Both bedrooms available to each set of guests. There is no extra charge for the second bedroom. I accept only 1 group of people at a time. So, if there are 2, 3 or 4 people in a group, they are welcome to use both bedrooms. This works well for a couple with a single guest, 2 couples or 2 individuals who come together, but wish to sleep separately. My bedroom is also upstairs, but the bathroom is exclusively for yourself, The computer/work room is available for your use. There are locks on your doors. Each room has a power strip. Each room has an air conditioner. Each bedroom has a television. Two of the three bedrooms and upstairs bathroom are for your private use. You may choose to dine on our front enclosed sunroom or sit and "chill" on the patio. You are invited to watch a movie or TV with me. You are welcome to use the family room to relax and watch tv. Feel at home at Sanctuary. I am eager to meet you. If you need assistance with directions or suggestions for activities within our region, I will be glad to help. If you just want to be alone and rest, that is fine too. I love to mix with my guests, when they feel like socializing. The neighborhood is urban, yet outside of the heart of the city. The homes have distinct and varying personalities. Our neighborhood, South Hills in Old Brooklyn, is a good place for leisurely walking. Within walking distance is large park for community baseball, summer outdoor movies and a market, and within 3 blocks is some of the best ice cream in Cleveland - Honey Hut. The bus stop for downtown is on the corner of our block. New restaurants are opening as is a brand new coffee shop - right at the end of our block! We are close to the Erie Canal Towpath which is fantastic for nature hikes. Grocery stores are within 10 minutes, and shopping centers are close. This home is convenient for any place of business or attraction within the heart of the city or in the nearby suburbs. We are located near all the highways leading into, out of, or around Cleveland. We are a 25 minute trip from Akron and a 30 minute trip from Medina. We are an easy 20 minute drive to the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, and a 25 minute drive to University Circle Main Campus. Uber is popular in this area and comes with a moment's notice. There is a bus stop at our corner. You may park in our driveway. It is to the east of the house. University Circle is easily accessed by car. There, one can attend a Cleveland Orchestra concert, or visit the world class Cleveland Museum of Art or one of three other museums within walking distance of each other. We are about 15 minutes from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, The East Bank Flats, Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, West Side Market, and Progressive Field. Cleveland has many amazing restaurants. We are approximately 10 minutes from Tremont and 12 minutes from Ohio City. You will find Cleveland an exciting place to stay. One note of caution. This "bnb" is designed to be a place to relax during the late hours. We expect the guests to be in the home by 10:00 p.m. If you arrive late in the evenings, the house will not be a place to "rest" and "regroup" for us, and we will be grouchy. This is sometimes unavoidable; so, should you have a late flight or an other uncontrollable time constraint, please just let me know and I will work with you! My purpose is to give you a comfortable stay in a beautiful city with much to see and explore.
