Artist's scenic mountain retreat on small holding

A sculptor's spacious apartment filled with light, art and antique furniture. Part of a small holding situated on the edge of a semi deserted medieval village on the ridge of a mountain valley, it has stunning views and instant access to hiking, biking and dipping pools in the local rivers. The medieval town of Pieve di Teco is 12 minutes drive away for shops, bars and restaurants. 35 minutes to the seaside in Imperia, and an 1 hour 45 mins to Nice or Genoa airports. A medieval village situated in the Ligurian Alpes at 611 metres above sea level, set across the ridge of a mountain valley with fantastic views and direct access into the tracks and woods leading up and down the mountain side. It is very quiet and a perfect place to write a novel or get some peace away from the rest of the world. The house is part of an artist's small holding so there are fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables available. There is also possible use of the studio in the appartment for anyone staying for more than a week who wants to be creative. See photos. There is a small car park in the village, and always somewhere to park. You do need a car, as it takes an hour and a quarter to walk down the mountain to Pieve di Teco, as opposed to 12 minutes in a car. The local hiking is wonderful, but a car will take you to the numerous spectacular other hikes within easy reach. There are buses from Pieve di Teco to Imperia and Albenga, and trains from Imperia and Albenga in the directions of Nice, Ventimiglia, San Remo, Genoa, Milan and all the seaside towns along the Italian Riviera, and heading into the French Riviera. 1 and 3/4 hours drive from Nice and Genoa airports. 35 minutes drive to the coastal town and beaches of Imperia. There are dog friendly beaches during the summer, but most beaches are dog friendly out of season.
