The Barefoot Shack: Beach location

Breathtaking 1950 original fibro beach shack , metres from secluded beach and lovely river. Experience the wonder of a small beach community and the sounds of nature. Large entertaining spaces, three outdoor tables , fire pit. Full pantry supplies, and linen. Two minutes walk to beach a magical holiday away. Travel on the ferry and you are in paradise . The barefoot shack has multiple entertaining areas with two large outdoor decks and two living rooms. There is a large master bedroom with a pillow top king bed and plenty of storage . The second room has one pillow top double bed. There is a lovely deep double shower in the inside bathroom and an outdoor fresh water shower outside for an after beach refresh . The linen is all supplied as well as big beach towels and fluffy bath towels. The kitchen is full of pantry supplies and has a dishwasher , coffee machine and microwave as well as all the basics. The wifi is good and we have Foxtel and a fully internet connected TV and many books with lots of space for relaxing . There are also two large boxes with games and a picnic hamper for a beach meal. Outside there are bikes and toys galore and croquet and cricket. Laze in the hammock by day and snuggle by the outdoor fire out by night. There is a BBQ with gas supplies and four large outdoor tables to enjoy with friends. Foxtel , bikes, games, books , DVDs ,playstation 3 , picnic hamper , pantry supplies , linen, towels , wheelbarrow , knacks , paddle board, small kayaks and everything you need to have the perfect holiday Available at all times for questions and ideas Welcome to the barefoot shack ... Ferry times : The ferry runs on the hour every hour. It takes half an hour and Mackeral is the last stop before returning to palm beach . If you want a faster trip the water taxi costs $38 one way and takes about 5 minutes During holidays the parking at palm beach can be busy and it is all ticketed so best to park around iluka rd palm beach and walk along the beach . If one of you drop the other at the wharf that works well . Supplies : There are no shops at Mackeral so you will need to bring everything with you or you can take the ferry or water taxi back to palm and barrenjoey house is wonderful for a long lunch : (website hidden). There is an amazing boutique shop at palm beach that has beautiful supplies for food everything you need from wine to cheese to fruit. The layout of the rooms is a king bed in the main room and a double bed in the second room. There is plenty of dried food in the pantry so please help yourself to anything you need and tea and coffee bags are in the draws. The water is tank water and we drink it but best to take bottled water and we supply you filtered water as well. The shower is bore water so don't drink that the dishwasher works and if you can do it on a short cycle it helps save the tank water . The BBQ works outside ,there are plenty of tables outside and if you want to sit at the one at the front under the trees there are aqua stools in the shed that suit nicely. There are 2 fire pits and a chimenea that you are welcome to use Help yourself to any books please just send them back when you are done. We have a full internet TV and we also supply a PS3 with a few games for the kids A great lunch or breakfast out is Barrenjoey house or the Gold club. You can catch the water taxi over or you can catch the ferry across and back . Just make sure you book this time of year. For a pampering weekend you can pop across to palm beach and have a wonderful massage at Pam beach remedial massage just call them on . They are open all public holidays as well. Another great day out is the ferry to palm beach and then the ferry to ettalong , there is a lovely market there and a great little Italian restaurant in the markets.
