Get back to basics with this beautifully renovated cottage (58sqm) with 2 bedrooms and kitchen. A separate shower room/laundry and toilet adds to the charm to this true kiwi Bach. Just 10mins up the coast from Thames township. When the tide is in, enjoy swimming or a gentle kayak; or bring your own fishing rods and cast for snapper off the beach. Great position to explore the Coromandel or simply sit back and relax with a good book and enjoy the magnificent west coast sunsets. The cottage is perfectly positioned on the waters edge, with the west facing living room bi-fold doors opening onto a large front deck and lawn. Off the kitchen there is a small deck and table that gets the morning sun with views back to the hills behind and access to the shower/toilet facility. The main bedroom features a Queen bed. 2nd bedroom has a bunk (Queen base and king single upper). Quality linen and towels provided. The section is over 1000sqm so plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. A kayak and boogie available for use. Plenty of off street parking and room to park a boat or trailer if needed. Walking distance (5mins) to the well stocked local dairy and takeaway bar. 3 min drive to a great waterhole at the end if Te Puru Creek Road. 5 min drive to Waiomu Beach Cafe. I am contactable by phone if needed and there is a local Manager who can assist with any immediate needs. Off street parking, with room to park your boat or trailer. The property is well appointed but still has some original features of it's 95 year history. We are on local dam water supply. Whilst this water is ok and used by other permanent resident houses in Te Puru, we do have older pipes and do not have filters so advise not to drink the tap water. It is fine for cleaning your teeth, showering and doing dishes etc. We recommend filtered water for cooking/drinking. There will be a full 15L bottle with tap on the kitchen bench on your arrival, but we recommend you bring your own drinking water supply. We are also on an original septic tank, so considerations to be made here to ensure no overflow (eg not too much paper down the toilet). This is another reason why we limit the number of people to 4 adults max at any time.
