Enjoy our beautiful garden & explore the magic & tranquility of rural mid Devon. I am originally from west London by way of NYC, have lived and brought up a family here. I am based at the address, but teach Yoga and deliver shiatsu privately therefore am often away. However I will hope to greet you at some point in your stay. I am enthusiastic to share my love of this community & my knowledge of fantastic points of interest, secret walking & swimming spots as well as of suggesting great places to eat and exciting places of historical interest and natural beauty locally. Innishowan is a simple Georgian country house situated in the peaceful mid Devonshire village of Yeoford, 3 miles from the busy little market town of Crediton which was historically the seat of the county. We are quietly nestled in the Tarka valley amidst the network of infamous lanes. Based in central Devon we are in a wonderful location being between both Exmoor & Dartmoor, as well as being between both the south coast seaside towns & villages, as well as the stunning, wilder beaches & seas of N.Devon. Being on the Tarka line, Yeoford has a picturesque hourly service winding up the valley to Barnstaple, as well as connecting in 20mins to the colourful bustling city of Exeter. We are 4 miles drive from the A30 giving great access to Bristol & London, as well as an easy nip to Cornwall and all that can be discovered there. Closer to home Dartmoor offers incredible walking, wild horses, amazing pubs and ancient pathways, towns & villages to discover. Our home is situated directly across the road from the award winning Duck Inn, recently voted in the top 40 gastro pubs in the UK. Crediton is known for its independent shops, quirky festivals & arts events. We live in a lively and friendly community with an award winning local farmers market held in the town square fortnightly. Park outside on designated personal driveway. Yeoford train station 1 min walk on the Barnstaple/Exeter & Okehampton line.
