Nigella is a 90 sq metre apartment on two floors, recently restored from an ancient monastery on top of the most beautiful Karst village in the Sezana aerea. It sits right at the entrance of an ancient wood, amidst a meadows full of wild flowers. It features a lovely open space living room with dining area, a kitchen with dishwasher and a toilet downstairs. Upstairs it has a large bathroom with shower and a bedroom with super king bed. The view from the windows is breathtaking. Free parking The apartment is one of three residential apartments in a small condominium. It does not have a garden, but has a lovely kitchen garden on the other side of the church, about 200 meters away. The house sits on top of the village, there is no traffic as the road ends here. It enjoys quiet and amazing views. There is another large condominium on top of the village, next to us, which was the main part of the monastery. In the village we have 2 very good places to eat, one farm and one id a Gostilna run by a your couple - their steaks are amazing, and so everything else. Very relaxed atmosfere for a beer and a chat. They speak perfect English. The nearest shops are 1.5 kms away for food and all necessities. Great bread! Petrol station is 1.5 kms, doctors 7 kms. It is best to park the car by the church, not inside the courtyard. The Keys will be picked up between 3 and 7 pm in nearby town of Sezana form my cousin's office. The house sits at the top of one of Karst most beautiful villages. The village is very quiet, you you can hardly ever hear anything except birdsongs, the wind in the trees and a distant chainsaw in the woods. The village boasts two very good restaurants (Gostilna Tomaj run by a young passionate couple, excellent steaks and charcuteries, but good also for coffe and cake or a relaxed pre dinner beer. and Farm Skerlj, they cook with their own produce, veggies, meats and wine - great pastas and soups, amazing desserts with their own apples and honey). Our neighbour also has beautiful old Absburg goats and white belt pigs down the road, which are a true delight to see on a morning walk. he produces great goats cheeses and ricotta. From the house you can take several different paths through the valley and the woods, amidst great meadows filled with wildflowers from February onwards, which take you neighrbouring villages for lunch or just exploring. Dutovlje is less than 2 kms away, you have shop, bank, pharmacy, restaurant, bar. Karst is known for its string red wine Teran, whcih can be sampled in most villages, and the vineyards make the landscape very special indeed. Great for biking, trekking, climbing and cave expoloring.The cost in TRieste is only 25 minutes drive away and is true delight after 5 pm.
