This is one of the height accommodation I advertise, see them all on my profile. A very retro interior is waiting for you inside the foldable caravan. The whole structure brings you over 4 meters above ground opening on stunning views to the valleys and mountains. Kitchenette, bathroom, restroom, dinning areas, bedroom, you have it all on the plate-form up there. Next to the bar there is the infinity pool, the perfect spot for snacks, cold drinks and relaxing. Come and enjoy a unique experience! The pleasures of camping in the great outdoors combined with the sweet comforts of a hotel stay. The caravan will be waiting for you with a made bed, a kitchen equipped of all the necessary tools and a bathroom including an open roof shower with plenty hot water. Breakfast will be proposed every morning at the bar as an extra from 8:30am until 10:30am. The property includes a rich vegetable and fine herb garden where you are welcome to collect what you need for a fresh organic meal; tomatoes, carrot, lettuce, cucumber, spinach, basil, rosemary and many more. For internet access, there is wifi available at the bar and by the pool. We now have a bathroom building with four showers, five toilets and sinks, same as in a camp site. The hot water is solar heated in the day and stored, so you can have a hot shower at night. This project is a dream of mine and I will do all that I possibly can to make your stay enjoyable and to guide you through all there is to explore in the area for an authentic experience of Portugal. Within a 15km radius, you'll find cheese factories and wineries, you'll visit old shale stone villages in the mountains, you can explore beautiful natural pools where you take a swim, and as much culture as you want in Coimbra or closer at the ancient Roman villas of Conimbriga. I'll suggest you routes for daily trips regarding what you're looking for on that day. From Coimbra's main bus station (rodoviaria in Portuguese), there are busses that will take you all the way to the village of Penela. And then I'll give you a lift from the village to my place as it's only 2,5km away. See the time tables on the site of the bus compagny, it's called Transdev. There is a separate bathroom in the private bathroom unit where you'll find a compost toilet just for you. It's very similar to the toilet you have at home except there’s no flush, but sawdust. Nothing to worry about, it’s far better for the environment and the land. And the shower comes with hot water all year round.
