As we are part of the family run Hele Valley Holiday Park, you will have access to the laundry facilities, play park and support should any problems arise. Access to the Lodge is gained by driving off the main road Ilfracombe Road into a narrow road passed a local brewery and quaint cottages to the secluded valley of Hele Valley Holiday Park. Before the entrance to the park, Pine Lodge is situated on the left on the elevated, grassy bank. Hele Bay is a beautiful, shale bay situated 7 minutes walk from the lodge. The beach is popular with families because the bay is sheltered and you can walk into the sea for quite a way without getting out of your depth (PLEASE ALWAYS take care when entering the sea and ALWAYS check local conditions before entering). Sea kayaking, wild swimming, paddle boarding and fishing are just some of the popular sports available from the bay. The bay is also dog friendly (to responsible owners) all year round. A small sea-side shop provides ice-cream and refreshments with an array of sea-side goods from windmills to inflatables also available. A local petrol station is situated close by with a small shop as well as pubs and restaurants. Hele itself is a quiet, friendly village on the eastern outskirts of Ilfracombe. Further east are the picturesque villages of Watermouth, with its stunning castle and secluded bay, Coombe Martin, Lynton and Lymouth - which are well worth a visit. The popular surf beaches of Croyde and Saunton Sands lie to the west of Hele as well as Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.
