Character 4* 2 bedroom luxury gîte & private pool

Welcome to our rustic but luxurious gîte situated in a hamlet between Puylaurens and Lavaur. 2 large bedrooms, the master with superking bed and day bed and the second with 2 single beds and a double sofa bed. In the garden with private pool (unheated), separate to the gîte and accessed down the side of the property, you will find a BBQ, pétanque court, table and chairs and sun loungers. Fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge. We welcome adults and children over 12 years old A rustic hamlet house full of character. We've just completed a full refurbishment and outdoor furniture, BBQ etc will be added in spring. The gîte is fully central heated. The beds are comfortable, the superking is a memory foam 'medium' mattress 180x200cm, day bed is 80x190cm. The single beds are firm (IKEA Hovag) 90x200cm. The sofabed is 140cm when open and firm. The pool and garden are private to the gîte but not attached. Access is via the passage to the left on the photos and through the gate. We live behind the gîte and have our own bit of garden around the side. At the end of the garden is a pétanque court with lighting. Guests will have full and private use of the pool, garden, BBQ, outside furniture. The gîte is totally self contained. The pool will be cleaned by us during the week and the garden maintained by our neighbour one morning or afternoon during the week. We will know the day the gardener is working and let you know! We live in the barn attached to the Gîte! Originally our part was the agricultural bit, barn, chicken house and cave! We can stay out of your way or join you for a BBQ! We plan to be around to welcome you on your arrival if possible. We are located in the centre of a rural hamlet with friendly neighbours. Our pool and garden are not overlooked. Within 40 minutes of Toulouse, 25 to Castres, and a 10 minute drive to the nearest shops, although we're in the beautiful Tarn countryside, we're not isolated. Lavaur and Revel are also close by. You are able to walk or cycle right from our doorstep whilst enjoying views of rolling hills and on clear days the Pyrenees. The vineyards of Gaillac, the medieval villages and towns, Lautrec, Puycelsi, Cordes sur Ciel etc are all an easy drive out. The region, Pays En Cocagne is an area rich in history. Pastel was and still is made from a flower to produce a pale blue dye that the region is famous for. In Magrin, you can find the château museum, the only museum with the history of pastel! Within 30 minutes you will find Lac Ferréol, just on the outskirts of Revel, famous for its Saturday market. Here you can enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants overlooking the lake, or maybe try your hand at windsurfing or any of the other watersports offered. It's also possible to walk or cycle around the lake. Free parking is available in front of the gîte. Bicycles and motorcycles can be stored in our locked barn at your own risk. The gîte is most suitable for adults and older children due to the layout and access of the pool, however we do accept children over 2 years old. It's a great base to enjoy walking, cycling and visits to local historical towns and villages. Albi is less than an hour away, Toulouse 40 minutes. Our gîte is NOT SUITABLE for hen or stag parties. We will ask that after 23h00 the garden and outside areas are quiet. (unless the neighbours are having a party, infrequent and hopefully we're all invited) Smoking is NOT permitted, even hanging out the windows! We do ask that you leave the gîte as you find it. Please strip the beds and take all rubbish to the bins. Empty the fridge, and please don't leave us any nasty surprises. We do ask that any breakages are reported, there will be a full inventory for you to check on arrival. Towels, pool towels, bed linen are all provided and beds will be made up for your arrival. Any fake tan staining on the sheets will be deducted from your security deposit, it's impossible to get out!
