La Casa Campesina

La Casa Campesina is a fully renovated and modern apartment that still gives you the authenticity of rural Puerto Rico. This mountainside apt is the first floor of a family home in classic rural Caribbean neighborhood. It is surrounded by lush green mountains, robust fruit trees, gorgeous flowers on the property and the sound of the beloved Coqui to put you to sleep. Located on a cul-de-sac, in one of the island's smallest towns, it is extremely private with a true Island life feel. Our apartment is nestled in a mountain valley while still being close to the ocean. Upon entering the property, you instantly get a welcoming feeling. Very spacious with land full of local flora, a fire pit and even a trampoline. Located on the southeastern portion of the island, there is an abundance of ecotourism activities in the area as well as historical landmarks and natural wonders. Our apartment offers gated parking in our driveway as well as out front if needed. Full access to the front and back yards. Trampoline can be utilized. The entire first floor apartment is for our guests. Feel free to also pick any ripened fruit around the property. We are available through text, phone and email. We will also be home occasionally and available. When we are away, our co-host is also available by phone call when needed and lives just a few minutes away. We also can be reached through our social media page. Our neighborhood is on a cul-de-sac and it is very close-knit. Our neighbors are extremely friendly and are always willing to help. The town is small but still offers many amenities, including known US stores but also has that small town Puerto Rican charm. Our town is about an hour and a half from the San Juan airport (SJU) and 45 minutes from the Ponce airport (PSE). Best way to get around is a car. There are also local car rental places, taxis and airport pick-up/drop-off. There is a binder in the apartment with QR Codes to all our favorite local spots. We are also available or any suggestions or tips. Our co-host is an experienced caterer and is available for home cooked, authentic meals. More information can be found in our binder or just ask.
