Situated six miles north of Matlock, at the southern end of Chatsworth Park, Beeley was originally an estate village inhabited by employees of the Duke of Devonshire. Beeley boasts panoramic views over the River Derwent, Lindop Wood and Stanton Moor. The village church of St Anne's is particularly beautiful in spring, when it is surrounded by golden daffodils.
