The Nookery is a luxury Mendip hideaway designed for couples looking for a romantic retreat (We do also cater for families too) If its the wilderness you crave and a digital detox immerse yourself in nature in this area of natural outstanding beauty with a wide selection of pubs on route. For the more sporty couples or families visit the Mendip ski centre, strawberry line cycle route, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, horse riding. … The Nookery a calm and tranquil experience awaits you. This luxury hideaway is nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The open plan Vaulted ceiling bedroom gives you so much space to relax and unwind and after an active day of walking/exploring a hot shower and glass of wine you fold yourself into the soft cotton sheets of yours king sized bed and soft grey cotton blankets, or you could hunker down in the open plan sitting room, with it's comfy wrap around sofa, soft velvet cushions and throws rest and read one of our books from the library, watch a movie (we have Netflix) or play board games - it even has its own den should you have children. A brand new light filled fitted kitchen has plenty of space to cook and enjoy the local produce or prepare an indulgent breakfast in bed creation. The slate shower room has a Large shower head to wash away the stress of the day and heated fluffy towels ready to embrace your tired body. Should you want your meals alfresco there is a patio with a seated area to enjoy the early morning sun. Drive straight into the large carpark and unload straight into the private entrance. There are buses at the top of the village to take you into the city's near by Weston super mare and Bristol should you not want to go by car. Bristol airport 5.8 miles, Bristol 12miles , Mendip spring golf 1mile, Wookey hole 10miles, Weston super mare 7miles, sand bay beach 6.6 miles, Bath 20miles. We live on the premises and there is a shared garden area, so we are available if they need to contact us but privacy otherwise we tend not to want to disturb our guests. The patio area outside the Nookery is exclusively for our guests. Quiet little village location with great local walkable country pubs, walking distance to a post office, strawberry line cycle route, mendip ski centre (PRE BOOKING ADVISED to avoid disappointment) and Thatcher's cider factory. And soooo much more. We do accept well behaved dogs there is a charge for This so please add your four legged friends into the drop down box when booking. We have a six year old daughter and a brown lab on the premises so we need to make sure all dogs coming are pretty friendly as there is a shared garden area.
