Staying at the historic Old Coach House in Tintern, you'll experience the unique style of this early 1800s property, while enjoying modern comforts in a stylish and homely setting. The old coach House is a few minutes walk from the centre of Tintern on the banks of the river Wye, where you'll find the famous abbey, as well as places to eat and drink, and shops selling local crafts. The Wye Valley Walk passes the house, and the hourly bus between Chepstow and Monmouth stops just metres away. The Old Coach House is a historic oak-beamed cottage set in the stunning Wye Valley, sleeping up to five guests. There are two double bedrooms, one with a Juliette balcony, and one with an additional single bed, and a bathroom including shower upstairs. The first floor is accessed via a spiral staircase. Downstairs there is an open plan living and dining area with a wood burner (logs can be purchased during your stay), and a well equipped kitchen. The lounge/dinner has two sofas, and a dinning table to accommodate five guests. We provide a range of games and books, as well as plenty of ideas for your stay. With one exception all windows afford views of the river and the hills. The enclosed courtyard garden has a balcony offering wonderful views of the river and surrounding countryside, tables and chairs to enjoy sitting outdoors, and a BBQ. Children and dogs are welcome, but must be your responsibility at all times. There is an open tread spiral staircase with stairgates, so its up to you to decide if this is safe for you. Also note the property is accessed via a short steep sloped driveway leading from the road. Two parking spaces are provided opposite the property, on the other side of the road but not on the driveway which belongs to our neighbours. Tintern centre is about 5 minutes walk away, there are two parking spaces opposite the house for your use. There is a bus stop just meters from the house which serves Chepstow and Monmouth. We are always available via phone or message if you need any help or advice. Tintern is a quiet village on the banks of the River Wye. There are several pubs and hotels within easy walking. Most will allow dogs , even when eating. Tintern Abbey is a 10 minute walk away and well worth a visit. The long distance footpath "The Wye Valley Walk" passes the front door. There is a bus that runs between Chepstow and Monmouth It is hourly and stops within a few metres of the house. We have 2 private parking spaces opposite the house. We are a dog friendly cottage , if you'd like to bring your pooch on holiday with you we charge £15 for up to three nights , and £25 for three to seven nights. There are some doggie do's and don'ts: Please bring your own dog blankets, bed, bowls, and poo bags. Please clean up your dog mess straight away.
