‘The Hayloft’ is nestled within an 18th Century property in the historic and peaceful village of Edgmond, in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. This self-contained luxurious apartment is the ideal escape for a short or long stay, to enjoy what rural Shropshire has to offer. Self check-in and Prosecco on arrival will help make your trip even more relaxing. With it's central village location, local shop and inn, and ample walks from the doorstep, you can park up, switch-off and relax. The property has been lovingly restored by its current owners to create an entirely separate apartment with its own access, exposed beamed ceilings and retained original fireplaces. It includes a stunning library lounge with 50 inch smart TV, fully equipped dining kitchen and elegant shower room with heated towel rail. The extremely spacious 30m² bedroom has a king-sized bed and dressing table, with ample clothes storage and separate desk area. If a separate bed is required then an extra double mattress can be made available upon request. There are exceptional views from all windows of the apartment, overlooking the village and surrounding Shropshire countryside. There are many local countryside walks and cycle routes directly from Edgmond. The village has an inn with a restaurant, a small convenience store with Post Office and a historic 11th Century Church, all within walking distance of The Hayloft. The market town of Newport is only a five minute drive away, or a 20 minute walk via a canal, has boutique shops, pubs, market and a multitude of eating out options. Edgmond is situated within easy reach of many local tourist attractions. It is a great location to explore both Shropshire and Staffordshire. Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Ironbridge with the Victorian Blists Hill museum, and Weston Park are all within an hours drive. RAF Cosford, and National Trust properties such as Attingham Park and Dudmaston are close-by, as well as entertainment in Telford with cinemas, shopping centre and high ropes courses for the more adventurous. Staffordshire can offer delights including Alton Towers or the Shugborough Estate and Kinver Edge with its sandstone rock houses. The Hayloft would also be a useful stay for anyone visiting Harper Adams University. The Hayloft is for the sole use of two guests with its own separate entrance to the apartment . There is a large gated driveway with free allocated parking and a covered porch area containing a storage facility for boots.
