Cottage woodland hideaway with Snowdon & Lake View

This 1840's cottage is set in a wonderfull semi remote place in it's own grounds in the woods, amoungst the wildlife with fantastic views and access to local paths and walks and runs. We regularly see all kinds of woodland birds and mammals active around the house and the spectacular view looks straight at Snowdon and Llyn Padarn (lake). The cottage whilst very old has been renovated to be bright, airy and open plan. There is a cosy inglenook fire with woodburing stove. Modern kitchen and bathroom with shower bath and underfloor heating. There are 2 seperate bedrooms and a beautiful cosy loft bedroom with open mezzanine to the living room. There's a no outdoor shoes in the house rule so please bring your slippers! There are beautiful wooded grounds surrounding the cottage, but please note that these include some high craggy areas so parties with children should be mindful of this. Access is 200 metres down the steep and narrow track to the cottage from the road - which you can drive to with parking for 2 cars but we strongly advise only very confident/competant drivers do this after having reviewed it first on foot - and to have a spotter when you exit coming back the other way as it's steep with poor exit visibilty. There is parking for 1 car at the top of the track by the road and it would better to use this and come and go on foot for some exercise and to enjoy the view. I give my guests space but can be available if required. We should add that because of the steep access track this place is more suitable for fit active people. It is not at all suitable for people with mobiltiy issues and would advise against booking. We allow some dogs by prior agreement under the pet policy for a small fee, so please confirm at time of arranging booking. You can walk, run, cycle or swim to a great number of local routes right from the front door as well as being centrally placed for all that Snowdonia has to offer.
