Tucked away in the heart of the sleepy Cotswold village of Salford lies Cotswolds Cottage - a charming 3 bedroom property that sleeps 5 and is just brimming with character. This home makes you feel warm as soon as you arrive and is filled with the character you would expect from a period cottage. Watch out for the sloping ceilings, exposed beams, wonky floors and relax with the inglenook fireplace for a cosy night in. It is the perfect Cotswolds idyll to really live and feel like a local. Step in through the front door into an cosy porch where you can perch on the bench to take off muddy shoes & wellies. Leading to a cosy living room on the left complete with wood-burning inglenook fireplace. To your right is the kitchen/dining room with a walk-in pantry. There is also a handy utility/boot room just off from the kitchen leading to the downstairs shower room. Outside is a charming garden patio terrace growing fresh herbs and apples. The perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring the Cotswolds. Upstairs you will find the Master bedroom and walk in closet on the left at the top of the staircase. To the right, a second bedroom with Super king size bed that can also be made up as a twin. Finally, a charming third single bedroom. All rooms have plenty of storage and hanging space. The vintage style family bathroom is also upstairs complete with a bath tub with shower head attachment that is perfect for hair-washing. The kitchen here is equally perfect for those looking to rustle up a feast or those just wanting to break out the cheese and wine! There is an electric oven, induction hob & extraction fan, microwave, fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso Virtuo machine (instructions with the machine). There is plenty of serving ware, and baking ware as well if you want to get your Mary Berry on! Inside the pantry, you will find plenty of storage for all your shopping - this is also where the fridge/freezer lives. There is also a highchair in there if needed. Off the kitchen is the utility where you will find the washing/dryer machine and Belfast sink. There is also access to the garden patio from here too. The living room is a cosy and intimate space for all the family to relax after a busy day exploring. There are squishy sofas, cushions & blankets for snuggly evenings in. The TV is an Ultra HD TV with full Sky package and smart capabilities for Netflix & Amazon Prime. There are also many books & board games for you enjoy- but no falling out over Scrabble! The fireplace is a wood-burner and burns only logs. We have provided a basket of logs and kindling for you to use. We kindly ask that you use the heat protective glove to operate the door handle and when lighting / adding more logs to the fire. We do ask you to ensure that you protect little ones from the very hot glass window on the fire's door. The family bathroom is a real showstopper with vintage style fittings throughout. A lovely deep bath with shower head attachment is the perfect place to unwind in the bubbles after a busy day. The quirky downstairs shower room has a power shower. We've provided luxury fluffy white towels as well as robes, so you can really feel really snuggly after a relaxing bubble bath or shower as well as luxury full size Noble Isle toiletries for your use during your stay as well. All beds are made with luxury linens and hypoallergenic pillows & duvets. The Master Bedroom There's a Ruark digital & bluetooth enabled radio in the Master bedroom, so you can listen to Spotify or a nice relaxing playlist to lull you off to sleep. A hairdryer & fan are also in the walk-in wardrobe for you to use during your stay. The fireplace in this room is non-operational. The Second Bedroom This room can be made up as a Superking double or as a twin. The Third Bedroom A cosy full-sized single bedroom suitable for adults and children alike. Salford is perfect for those looking to escape the busy Cotswold towns but to be close enough to dip your toe in and out as much as you like. It is ideally located for some beautiful local walks so you can leave the car behind, but equally within easy reach of the lively market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Norton for shopping, eating out and sightseeing. Adventures of all kinds can be experienced whilst staying at this home. It’s particularly well situated for those who love a foodie treat with cookery classes, bakery’s, farm shops and distilleries all within a short drive. It is also a fantastic spot to enjoy bike rides, walking and the local heritage sites and homes. There are a couple of parking spaces located just next door, to the left of Cotswold Cottage which you can use for parking. Alternatively, there is plenty of parking in the lay by to the left as you drive into Salford. Parking is free and without an restriction or need to display any permits. We will liaise with you prior to arrival to make sure you have everything you need and certain aspects of your stay are personalised. We will also make some helpful recommendations for your stay for activities as well as great places to eat. Salford is a small hamlet located off the A44 towards Chipping Norton. There are two entrances to the village from the main road. We recommend taking the first turning (if coming from Moreton in Marsh) as this will bring you into Salford and Cotswold Cottage is directly ahead of you set back from the small green with St Marys church on the left. The closest motorway is the M40 which will give you direct links from London & Oxford as well as Birmingham and the North. We recommend travelling by car due to the location of the cottage. However, if you have guests arriving by train- the nearest train station is both Moreton in Marsh & Kingham with a direct route from London Paddington. We recommend booking a taxi transfer in advance with a local to the station taxi firm. There is a shoe rack in the porch as you enter as well as a doormat to wipe dirty shoes on. Cotswold Cottage is a strictly NO SMOKING property. You can smoke in the garden on the terrace, but do ask that you dispose of your cigarette ends safely prior to leaving. Cotswold Cottage welcomes 1 large dog or up to 2 medium dogs. We ask that dogs are not allowed on the furniture and soft furnishings as well as on the beds. There is a dog bed & bowl provided for your furry friend(s). Tucked Away will not allow guests not booked to stay at the property to stay over. Cotswold Cottage sleeps a maximum of 5 people. We do operate a CCTV camera on the entrances of the property for security and to ensure adherence to this policy. A washer/dryer machine, maiden, iron & ironing board are provided for use. You will find them tucked away in the pantry.
