Make yourself at home in our open-layout home w/ beautiful view of the Fox River. Watch a movie in the great room or cook a meal in our fully stocked kitchen. All the amenities you need. We are professional hosts and give you the space that you desire! 1 mile to downtown Algonquin 10 minutes to Crystal Lake or Barrington 20 minutes to Elgin 45 minutes to Lake Geneva, Schaumburg, Wilmot Mountain Your bedroom is on the main floor with a semi-private bathroom (off of the kitchen/main room). This is the main house bathroom, and the toilet and sink may be shared by another person and an occasional house guest. You can see the river from your room, but you will enjoy the view much more from the great room. Please make yourself at home. We have a big, beautiful kitchen with lots of counter space and an island. The river-facing side of the house is all windows, ensuring a beautiful view from the main area of the house, whether you are cooking, washing dishes, or just relaxing on the couch. We have a fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking supplies and amenities you need to make an amazing meal! We also have a grill right outside the kitchen. In the great room, we have a 65" TV with an amazing surround sound system. We are connected to Roku with access to thousands of entertainment options. We currently have a subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime, and we have a Blueray DVD player and a large DVD selection. Five of the six seats in the great room are recliners... a movie theater experience in our home! We frequently add more amenities, and we are happy to entertain any special requests. Guests staying a week or more have access to the laundry room (2 loads per week... we also have a schedule). We have a washer and dryer, as well as iron and ironing board. Laundry fee for guests staying less than 1 week is $10 per load. Please make yourself at home! You have access to the first-floor private bedroom and bath, kitchen, great room, living room, patio, and back yard. We live in the house and frequently work from home. We will be around, but we will give you all the privacy that you need. We usually stay out of the way most of the time, so if you want more interaction, please let us know. Our home is on the Fox River, so if you enjoy nature or water, this is a great place to stay, with beautiful views and the energy of the river flowing nearby! Algonquin has a very quaint downtown area, with many shops and restaurants. The other end of Algonquin has many options for shopping, as well as dining. Anything you need is within a 10-15 minute drive. We are working on an area guide, and we are happy to answer any questions! The best way to get around the area is by car. However, the nearest Metra station is just a 9-minute drive away. You are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. We live in the house and will do our best to accommodate your needs. The cleaning fee covers cleaning your bedroom and bathroom before and after your stay. Please clean up your own messes in the kitchen, bathroom, and any other room during your stay.
