Valley View Cabin is our newly renovated chalet-style cabin on a secluded 15 acres in the Catskills woods. Featured on Curbed magazine and Travel + Leasure, located a mile up a private dirt road, you will be surrounded by forests, deer and chipmunks. 15 minutes to Roxbury wedding venues and Plattekill Mountain. We are probably in NYC or Miami, but we can always be reached by phone or message. Approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes from NYC. The cabin is in between Margaretville and Roxbury. It is a 10 minute drive from the centers of Roxbury & Margaretville, idyllic Catskills throwback Main Streets, where you can get groceries, coffee, wine, ice cream etc. Skiing Nearby: Platterkill: 10 miles Bellyare: 16 miles Windham: 32 miles Hunter: 40 miles During spring and summer it's fairly easy to get to the cabin by car. Winter is constant snow and ice and nearly impossible to pass without 4x4. Plan accordingly. If you plan on renting a car, check out Turo. We use this whenever we travel. Promotional code: debg26 SNOW/WEATHER ISSUES: This area does get a lot of snow. We do get plowed (not salted), however, we highly recommend always driving a 4x4/AWD. The cabin is very remote and off a long, dirt road and up a rugged driveway. Not passable without 4x4/AWD in winter. Given the weather issues, area prone to lose power. We do not have a backup generator. We do not provide refunds for things out of our control, including weather, power outages, car issues, snow storms.
