Tucked away in a special spot with bay, river & creek access, this rare, treasured location in Drum Point, is just minutes from Solomons & Calvert Cliffs. Quick Wifi, a 40" Smart TV, cozy bed & comfy lounge chairs, you can curl up by the electric fireplace or turn down the A.C. & RELAX! Choose to stay in or adventure out! Welcome to our regionally inspired Loft where you will feel the love in the detailed design! Come snuggle up or stretch out and enjoy the space we have created featuring things we have collected from around the world. Curl up in our swivel rockers and put your feet up by the freestanding electric fireplace or chill in the AC. Wrap yourself in one of our cozy blankets and sip a glass of wine, coffee or tea while you read a book or watch a movie. The Roku is available as are many apps. Just log in to your account and enjoy. We offer Xfinity Wifi and Upgraded Cable TV. The 40" Smart TV is ready for you to log into your streaming platforms...and it swivels so you can start a movie in the living room and finish it in bed! There are multi-ports and bedside charging stations to keep your devices fully charged. Sleep soundly in the Super Elite Memory Foam bed...the same one we sleep on in our bedroom... spread out on the bed covered with sheets which are silky, smooth, soft, and breathable. The bathroom is appointed with a set of six soft, fluffy, white towels from The Turkish Towel Company. Cotton is grown in Denizli, Turkey. Our brand new kitchen is gorgeous! We have tried to think of everything! An induction burner, large convection toaster oven/air fryer, fridge, microwave, Keurig, and sink. You have plates, bowls, utensils, glasses, French press, dish washing supplies, and a hot water kettle. Rice Cooker, crock pot and Instapot available if needed. Walk for miles in our waterfront community and visit Mill Creek, the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay beach, all within the neighborhood. We highlight our region with tobacco farmer's baskets from Calvert County's rich Tobacco industry. Other international farmers are honored with my father's antique Rice Farmer hats and seagrass footstools collected from the Far East. A steamer trunk from my mother's travels houses a library of some of our favorite books. Sometimes we rotate pieces in and out as my design senses lead. Who knows what treasures await you? NOTE: This is a smoke free and peanut free property as we are allergic. Please ask for details if you have a question about an amenity. Just steps from your car is the keyless entrance to Creekside Loft. You will feel the stress release as you read a book in our Peruvian hammock under the towering Pine trees. Sit in Adirondack chairs on the bluff and look through the trees at the creek or warm your toes by the well stocked firepit. You are welcome to walk the property, enjoy the hens, and breathe in the coastal air. Late check out & early check in may be available. Let us know if you want to use the propane grill and tools. We will also set up an outdoor table and chairs as needed. Items available upon request: portable fan, full size ironing board, spray starch, rice cooker, crock pot. If you don't see what you need, please ask! Host family lives on property. We are almost always available. Knock, text or call. We will be happy to sit and chat as you like and answer questions about the local area. Relax in our gardens beneath peaceful towering pine trees or stroll through our waterfront community. This beautiful neighborhood winds along the Mill Creek estuary. Wall along the causeway and look between sea grasses where herons wait for you to snap a picture. Turtles sunbathe there as well. Sunset along the water is different every day. Boating, fishing, crabbing, fossil hunting are all right here. Come to relax, and stay awhile. There are many access points to beaches along the Chesapeake Bay. Some are a short walk, and others reward you with a panoramic view after a hike. There is not public water access from our property. Guests may not access the marina behind our house but you have many water access points to the bay, river and creek. Our property is not waterfront. We live in a rich historical area surrounded by water on the Western Shore of the Southern Maryland peninsula. You can walk and bike the area. We are tucked away in a special spot where you have creek, river and bay access! This rare, treasured location in Drum Point is a few minutes off the main road. St. Mary's City, the first Capital of Maryland. Jefferson Patterson Park has interactive Native American and War of 1812 exhibits. John Wilkes Booth was here...nearby... and farming is such an important part of the cultural story. We can provide information for bicycle and kayak rentals, vineyard tours, sailing, boating and fishing voyages, or restaurant reservations.
