Tralee provides a number of independent shops and supermarkets for those well-needed shopping sprees, as well as a selection of traditional Irish pubs and restaurants for some fine food. You are within reach of the beautiful and unspoiled region of the Tralee Bay Wetlands nature reserve, boasting far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside with opportunities for guided tours and an on-site café if you fancy a spot of lunch along the way. Stop off at one of the waterfronts where you can do some pedal boating on the lakes, or try some fishing. Tralee Town Park is locally known as "The Green", giving exceptional views and is also growing in popularity amongst runners as it covers 35 acres of land. Discover County Kerry Museum, with lively and interactive exhibits covering the history of the town and nearby lands for those who enjoy a spot of history. The Aquadome is a 5 minute walk from the house. Castlegregory surfing and water sports is a 20 minute drive from Tralee. For Golf Enthusiasts Tralee Bay Golf Club, the number one lynx golf course in Europe and a magnificent coastline, boasting lovely sandy beaches where you can spend the afternoon sunbathing, swimming in the shallow waters, or enjoying a lovely picnic.
