Pets accepted on a case by case basis , please contact us before booking.( no cats owner has allergies ) **The house consists of 4 pods as is in the Bali tradition and there they are connected by walkways , all off which we have enclosed to protect from the elements. However the halls being not heated / insulated so walking from the bedroom to the kitchen/ dining in the inter you might feel cold. Our family & many renters are totally ok with this but please consider it for yourself:)** Enveloped by 7.5 acres of woodland, private pond and grassy pasture,it will lull you into its haven. It's the perfect marriage of the organic materials , handmade craftsmanship and the location that set you up in the peaceful state of mind when you spend some time here. After few hours here your body clock settles into a restful pace. I'm still not sure wether it is the memories of vacations in Bali or Thailand that get waken up while I'm here or the serene location or maybe there are some magnetic fields deep under ground, but I tell you, I sleep better here than anywhere else. Comfort, serenity & feelings of well being radiate in this place...Of course the super fast internet, Apple TV, 55" HDTV, luxurious bathtub next to the fireplace, the chefs kitchen : You should find in the kitchen most everything you could possibly need to create memorable meals.The pond is spring fed ( go for a swim ) , there is place for all your vehicles , your mobile phones will work just fine . With imported materials from Indonesia, it was built by hand by the inhabitants of Bali. I think we have covered everything but if you are our guest or just browsing and see something missing or think it can be improved , please let us know... The premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are not monitored for guest safety in any way and should not be relied on by guests for personal security or security of their belongings. Cameras may be used to enforce and verify compliance with rental policies. Any damage caused to cameras by guest may result in a partial or complete loss of security deposit funds. Closest towns are Rosendale, Tillson, High Falls, Stone Ridge & New Paltz NY. We are 80 miles north of Manhattan, an 90 minute drive or a bus ride from 42nd street Port Authority to New Paltz, then a short cab ride away. In New Paltz, you will find everything from major supermarket, fast food & coffee places as well as a wonderful Farmers Market, Organic shopping, smorgus board of restaurants & shops while still enjoying the small town USA look & feel. Here are few ideas that might spark some interest: MOHONK MOUNTAIN HOUSE Mohonk Preserve Great hiking & rock climbing Minnewaska State Park Preserve Shawangunk Wine Tour ( really great little vineyards!) Please respect our home and our neighbors, The Bali House is a quiet sanctuary, if you are planning to party, carry on loud gatherings or any other excessive noise activities, this is not the house for it. Hiking, fishing, rock climbing, antiquing or getting pampered at Mohonk Mountain House Spa. The house is located in the middle of a completely private lot, you drive down a tree lined road and then turn into a 1000' driveway further lined with mature trees & lawns. The property is a home to abundance of bird species and you'll hear them singing as you drive in. New Paltz or Rosendale stop on Trailways Bus service The hammock on the deck overlooking the pond are waiting for you and your favorite book...Abundant hot water and if you visiting in colder months you'll really enjoy the radiant heat Teracotta Tiles through out the house . We have a cabinet full of your favorite board games . There also is a large charcoal grill for your use ( please bring charcoal ) .
