Chapel Place is the perfect holiday cottage for couples or friends seeking a refreshing break. Beautifully presented and set across two floors with an attic, this idyllic, Montgomeryshire cottage has been lovingly updated and maintains much of the original cottage’s charm and character. As you enter the cottage the homely feel living space is complemented by the exposed beams, comfortable seating, and a cosy log burner fireplace to unwind, with the owners happy to supply all the logs you need for your stay. To the back is a well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need for up to four people, along with a large oak table to enjoy mealtimes together. Outside is a paved secluded courtyard, complete with patio furniture, plus a small, locked storage, should you be bringing bikes or outdoor equipment. Upstairs on the first floor is the first of the two bedrooms, including a king-size bed, with shabby chic furniture and décor. The family bathroom is a decent size with a shower over the bath. Then up to the attic is the second bedroom, with double bed and sky lights for a light and airy feel to make your stay comfortable, along with exposed beams. Those who want to get away from it all and relax will enjoy the peaceful setting of the cottage. Only a few steps away from the cottage you have everything on offer. Giving you the opportunity to create your own holiday. Montgomery with its medieval street layout, imposing Town Hall, mix of Georgian, Victorian, and timber framed buildings and an active and generous community, it’s a place where time seems to stand still. Stroll around the local shops offering gifts, fashion, home interior wares, books, and flowers or if you’re looking for something of a foodie’s pleasure there are a few lovely independent cafes serving homemade cakes, a delicatessen and a couple of great restaurants. The market town of Montgomery is well situated for the more adventurous travellers as well, with trail walking and cycle routes being so close to suit every ability, and the famous Offa’s Dykes path passes only a mile from the town. With golf, castles, and the Shropshire Hills all available locally, there is endless amounts of activities to choose from. Chapel Place is a superb base for exploring all that this part of Mid Wales has to offer.
