The open kitchen leads to the beautiful living room. Lifejackets are also provided. You can also take a boat into the water for a fee. On the site, there are some parking spaces and a boathouse. The house is located in the Lauwersmeer National Park, where you can admire the stunning open countryside and rare birds. You can also visit the nearby fishing harbour or relax on the banks of the lake Lauwersmeer, just 500 metres away from the house. The village of Pieterburen is just 20 km away. It is a small village where you can go for walks across the mudflats or visit the famous seal-breeding station. You can also visit the port of Zoutkamp and the town of Dokkum and admire the vast meadows and traditional farms along the way. Schiermonnikoog, a characteristic Frisian island with a varied landscape, beaches, dunes, forests and wetlands is also worth a visit. The ferry to the island of Schiermonnikoog is located within walking distance of the chalet. Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate.
