Le Moulin de Record is located in a green and wild valley, between Castres and Lacaune, in the Tarn in the Midi-Pyrenees region, 10 min from Brassac and 2 min from Ferrières, in the heart of Sidobre. Built in the 15th century on a block of granite, in the heart of Sidobre, this seigniorial mill knew how to pass through the centuries while keeping intact its turbines and millstones that still turn for visitors. Gabriele and Jean-Pierre offer you their comfortable lodgings and a cozy guest room in soft colors, for a stay in full nature, to the rhythm of the songs of birds and the whisper of the river, in a relaxing place where time Seems to have stopped. Our neighbors are called fox, doe, deer, duck, owl, otter, gray heron, falcon, trout, crayfish ... The cottage Chez les Enfants du Meunier, comfortable for 2 people, can accommodate up to 5 people (1 bedroom with bed 160x200, bed 90x200 and living room with sofa bed of 145 x 200) and invites to recharge in nature, with fishing Private at the bottom of the gîte, reserved for our guests, hiking, mountain biking, meditation, visit of the mill ... The non-contiguous terrace is located 15m from the cottage and overlooks the river, facing a panorama of wild and unspoiled nature. Observing the night sky in summer is an absolute pleasure. Fishing Paradise: No less than 18 fishing circuits in the region, a first-class piscicultural river with a steady and permanent flow - our fishing enthusiasts are keen to tease the trout, - and why not fish the crayfish and participate in the cooking classes of Gabriele to prepare a delicious dish ... Activities on site: • Hiking on trails around Le Moulin • 2 multi-day GR loops from the Moulin • Mountain biking on marked trails from the Mill • March to September: teasing the trout (private fishing for about 250m) • fishing for crayfish (highly appreciated by adults and children alike!) • Swimming in the river and on the spot even for toddlers because in some places the water is only a few cm deep and allows to soak safely • Shiatsu or Yoga by an outstanding practitioner who intervenes at the Moulin (to be booked in advance) • Donkey rides with the donkeys of our friends Pascal & Christine • The Museum of Protestantism is well worth a visit (1 km) • Guided tour of the mill is offered to our guests during their stay. Jean-Pierre will plunge you into the turbulent past of our Moulin, heavily involved in local history, between the Crusade of the Albigenses and the War of Religions, as if you were there!
