Located on the Bluff in Kilcunda, Killarney is a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive to Shelley’s Beach. A few minutes further on and you’re at Kilcunda’s favourite safe swimming beach with dozens of rock pools to explore at low tide. The nearby surf beach is the spot to be if you like surfing or fishing. And if the beach is not what you’re looking for, there is no need to venture away from the house to enjoy countryside views, beautiful gardens, and a heated swim spa. You’ll find Killarney intriguing – around every corner, inside and out, is a new delight. There is a multitude of living zones in which to relax, play or entertain. The fully secured back yard features a tranquil and meandering garden – perfect for children’s hide-and-seek – with an outdoor entertaining area and an above-ground swim spa maintained at a nice warm temperature (1.3 metres deep). Enjoy drinks on the covered front deck in the evening, as you watch the light change over the rolling countryside and the little bunny rabbits appear in the front garden. Inside, take it easy in the comfy lounge area looking out over the surrounding countryside. Another large lounge area, featuring a Coonara fireplace for those chilly evenings, looks out to the back garden. There is also a separate office/study space (Wi-Fi provided). An added bonus is a games room with table tennis and lots of extras. The spacious kitchen is well equipped, the pantry well stocked with essentials, and with the adjoining dining area, you have everything you need to create memorable family mealtimes. The house has three bedrooms: the master with a king size bed and ensuite; the second bedroom with a king size bed which can be split into 2 single beds; and the third bedroom has a queen size bed. All have a sweep fan for your comfort. A flip-out sofa in the lounge area provides additional flexibility. All linen and towels are provided for the number of guests booked, we just request you BYO your pool and beach towels. We are happy to accommodate your fur babies, but please note this is a quality home and we request no pets on beds or furnishings. Nearby, the Killy Pub offers premium quality meals overlooking the ocean. The Kilcunda General Store/Café, next door to the pub, has basic grocery items, organic take-away food, and a dine-in café. The George Bass Coastal Walk runs close by the house, offering a delightful walk to either San Remo or Wonthaggi. We also understand that for many, escaping for a period of time is necessary. We would like to assure you that our properties are being managed and cleaned in compliance with the Victorian government’s COVID-19 regulations (www.health.gov.au). Due to the additional cleaning measures we have increased our cleaning fees slightly. We try our best to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs where possible, however, this is dependent on bookings either side of your dates.
