The Space: Check yourself into this beautiful historic home and step into the grand foyer that invites you inside with its intricate timber fretwork, high ceilings and polished wood pillars. Make your way into the cozy living area and relax on the modern, plush chaise lounge surrounding the large wall mounted Smart TV. Slide over the oversize ottoman and spend the afternoon playing boardgames and cards together with a stack of games on the TV unit. Open up the large door off the living area and step out onto the rear decked patio offering the perfect place to sit of a morning and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee from the fully stocked coffee and tea bar inside. Cooking is always a pleasure in this beautiful heritage chef’s kitchen that comes fully equipped with high-end appliances and everything you need to get started. There is a large French door fridge with a filtered water and ice dispenser, a freestanding oven and gas cooktop, a butlers sink and a dishwasher to take care of all the cleaning up. Wash up in the handy half bath on the first floor then serve up your meals in the eclectic dining room that is filled with a mahogany table set for eight and a highchair for the little one - or if you don’t feel like cooking, take a walk to the nearby South Grand neighborhood where you will find an abundance of restaurants offering every cuisine your heart desires. Take the stairs up to the second level of the home where you will find the three generous bedrooms each with comfortable beds topped with soft, hotel quality linen to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The master bedroom offers a luxuriously large chesterfield king bed that sits opposite the Smart TV and comfortable bench seat. There is a second sleeping space for an additional guest in the master through the French doors which doubles as a quiet reading room when not in use. The second bedroom is filled with a beautiful queen bed and is perfect for young families with a pack n’ Play cot for the little one and a comfortable armchair for when the little one wakes up. And lastly, the spacious bunk room with two double beds that has access to the sun-soaked second level balcony where you can sit out of an evening with a few drinks and watch the world go by. The Neighborhood: The house is perfectly located in Compton Heights between the beautiful parks and neighborhoods of Lafayette, Soulard and Benton Park with easy access to I-44, I-64/40 and I-55/70 to get to the Arch, City Museum, Forest Park/Zoo, Barnes/CWE, Cortex, Busch Stadium, Fox Theater, St. Louis U, The Grove, Cherokee Street, Tower Grove, Peabody Opera House and more all within 5-10 minutes. Compton Heights is a quiet neighborhood anchored by the internationally renowned Tower Grove Park. Take a walk through our neighborhood and enjoy the century-old architecture and the beautiful gardens. When it's time to eat we have some incredible options nearby! For lighter fare, head over to the affordable James Beard nominated "Lona's Lil Eats." For great BBQ, Blues, and Beer check out "Shaved Duck," a place made famous on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." Highways 44 and 55 are conveniently located near the home, allowing quick transportation to most everywhere in the city. St. Louis has both UBER and Lyft available. We also have two bike share companies with plenty of bike tracks that take you all around the city, just look for the bright green and yellow bikes! There are also a couple of electric scooter share companies which are super fun to get around on, keep an eye out for the scooters scattered on the sidewalks, pick one up and away you go! These are outward facing cameras and do not aim indoors. ★ PRIVACY-SAFE NOISE MONITORING ★ This home is equipped with NoiseAware monitoring devices that alert us if noise levels increase over reasonable levels. This allows us to reach out and request that levels are reduced to reasonable levels. To protect your privacy, the monitors do not record audio. ★ GUEST VERIFICATION ★ SafelyStay, Inc., verifies the identity of guests, and checks criminal databases in order to confirm reservations. ★ TRUST & SAFETY ★ The SafelyStay, Inc.
