This comfortable, 300-year-old, end terraced cottage is situated in the heat of the coastal down of Dawlish and it is conveniently close to activities for all ages. Situated in a quiet residential area, close to the beach, the cottage is attached to the owner’s home. The town’s communal gardens are 50 yards away, and all local shops, cafés, restaurants, and parks with level walking are close by. Brookley House has level access to the town, bus routes and train station. The property has three floors and been decorated and furnished to a good standard, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms a kitchen/ diner and a living room. The kitchen is located on the ground floor and is well equipped with an electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, upright fridge, under-counter freezer, washing machine and a dining table and chairs. A shower room can be accessed from the kitchen and it’s fitted with a cubicle, toilet, and sink. The living room across the hallway, is perfect for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the local area, so kick back and watch a film on the TV or DVD player. Heading up to the first floor, there is another shower room and the family bathroom with a corner bath which has a hand held shower attachment. The first floor also has two double bedrooms and then the second floor has two twin bedrooms. Please mind your heads on the staircase as there is a low ceiling. Dawlish is a great seaside town, with everything you need to enjoy your holiday, including an abundance of shops, bars, eateries, takeaways, a theatre, charming gardens, and an exciting crazy golf course. Nearby is Dawlish Beach, Brunel’s famous sea-front railway viaduct, the Black Swans of Dawlish, and The Lawn with gardens where you can relax on those sunny days. Dawlish was much loved, by amongst others, Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, and the poet John Keats. Golf, cycling, walking and bird watching can also be enjoyed close by. It is very central for exploring the area by car, train or bus including Exeter, Powderham, Starcross, Cockwood, Dawlish Warren, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Newton Abbot, The Teign Valley and Dartmoor. Nearby there is much to occupy the visitor along the English Riviera coastline including Paignton Zoo, both the Dartmouth and South Devon Steam Railways, and the fishing harbour of Brixham. Day trips to the beaches in the South Hams such as Blackpool Sands and Goodrington Beach also offer a great alternative for a fun day-out and they are within an hour’s drive. Venture to Exeter with its castle and cathedral, Exmouth the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and Torquay which offers a selection of continental-style cafés and restaurants.
