Charming large cottage ‘The Old School House’ in picturesque village in Rutland
Summary: Our characteristic property which was once The Old School House of Knossington is situated in the centre of a beautiful, charming village, a stone’s throw from Oakham and Rutland Water on the Rutland/Leicestershire border. An incredibly popular place to stay due to the accessibility to all there is to do in the local areas. The Old School House has been recently refurbished and the accommodation upgraded, creating a cosy and warm home to relax and enjoy with the ample space, perfect for families. Just across the road is the beautiful 18th century ivy-clad pub/restaurant serving locally sourced exquisite food within a friendly cosy atmosphere. We are also very close to LadyWood Estate! The Old School House was originally two cottages which have been knocked through on the ground floor to comprise a kitchen, a living dining area with Sky TV, a further snug with Sky TV, a study with table football, a recently refurbished and brand new downstairs shower and WC, utility room and private south facing courtyard garden. Upstairs is still divided into two and each side is accessed by two separate staircases which offers great flexibility for accommodation. The main part of the house offers two bedrooms, one twin, one double and a recently refurbished upstairs bathroom with shower. The other side offers two bedrooms, one twin, one double with use of the downstairs shower room. There is good on street parking outside the house. We can also offer extras for your stay including hot tub hire and our private dining experience! This property can sleep a maximum of 8 adults, however we can provided extra sleeping arrangements for children.
