A 35-minute drive will take you to the Roman town of Corbridge close to the Roman Wall stretching from Wallsend to Carlisle peppered with Roman Forts along the way and popular for the Walkers to go from coast to coast. The vibrant city of Newcastle with the beatiful quayside and home to the iconic Tyne Bridge is only 7 miles where you can happily spend a day or evening.
