The Walnut, Meopham private retreat rural location

Excellent access to motorways, London and the south coast. Designed especially for your relaxation and equipped with everything you need to get away from it all. After you've parked on the driveway the moment you enter your private secluded courtyard, you will see the space is entirely yours. The Walnut is all on one level with spacious kitchen, lounge, diner and bedroom. We offer self catering breakfast, a selection of cereals, milk, juice, eggs, bread and conserves along with a variety of teas and coffees. The ensuite gives you a luxurious experience with rain shower, fresh linens and free to use toiletries. Plus we offer guests full access to our paved Kitchen Courtyard where you can enjoy your own private dining experience under a covered seating area. Here you will also find an outbuilding, our quirky 'Cow Shed' laundry room available for your use along with further toilet facilities. We take great pride in our gardens, and you are also welcome in our main garden which offers several different seating areas, all designed with relaxation in mind. A bus service is available Mon-Sat every 1.5 hours, travelling north and south of the area to local villages and major towns with no changes. Taxis are limited and would need to be booked in advance. Travelling by car is usually best to see the local attractions. You could also get the train from Meopham directly to either London (35 minutes) or the south coast. We are semi rural and have plenty of footpaths to explore across fields and woodlands. Brands Hatch is down the road if you like an engine roar, and we have the fabulous Cyclopark 10 minutes drive with several trails and circuits for all abilities with bike hire. We are lucky to have numerous parks surrounding us with parking, eateries and toilet facilities. Nearby are the historic towns of Rochester, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells, all offering great shopping, restaurants, pubs and full of history. Bluewater Shopping centre is also a short drive with everything under one roof. Not only shops and restaurants, cafes and bars, Bluewater boasts a 17 screen cinema and Skywire, England’s longest and fastest zipline! Not adventurous, staying in?
