Peaceful end of road - 6 miles to Grass Vly/Nev.City. Very light and airy feel. Good WIFI, no TV. Artist/owners live in other house on same 5 acres. This space is special because it has a fantastic close-in view of a large pond where many types of birds including Egret, ducks, geese, Great Blue Heron, frogs and other wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons) abound up close and personal. There are large mouth bass and other fish and turtles in the pond. We are also one hour from the major ski resorts and I know even closer spots for snowshoeing. I also know where the best kayaking lakes are and there are some real beauties. I am also a hiker and there are tons of trails in this paradise of an area. You will be able to hike the private scenic trail adjacent to our home which meanders along a waterway canal for about a mile through the woods in either direction. I will walk you around the property when you get here... I am a very social and active in this community in the art, music, dance and theater scene. There are so many cultural events up here you wont know which one to choose from. I have provided some informative magazines and brochures about the area for you in your suite. We live at the end of a gravel dirt road ( only 1/16 mile is dirt and the rest is paved) which dead ends at our very quiet neighbors home ( we all have 5 acre properties in this area) Our house is separated by that road from the unit you are renting making your space very private. We are one mile from the local Rough and Ready Post office and Fire Dept. In town there is a Wedding Chapel, a Community Grange Hall where they serve monthly breakfasts with local music. There is also a miniature reenactment village of all our town's former bldgs, also there is the historical Fippen Blacksmith shop which is manned every Saturday by a real blacksmith using the old methods with anvil and fire and he sells Rough and Ready t-shirts etc...There is also the old One room Rough and Ready School house that functioned until 1955. I included a brochure for Rough and Ready in your unit. There is the local Gold Country Stage Public Bus that stops by the post office in town on a regular basis. It takes you to Grass Valley which in turn by transfer bus will take you also to Nevada City and other areas in between. This is about one mile from our place. There is room for one car in our newly built carport adjacent to your unit. Also plenty of space for another vehicle very close by next to the same bldg. Our hand painted tile shop is on the bottom level below your unit and although I do most of the work up at my house there will be someone working down there a couple days a week.
