Awesome Fearrington Place - a family tradition.

Tradition continues. When my parents, Audrey and Elmo Jones, moved to Fearrington in 1984, they added a guest apartment over the garage where many people discovering the Village stayed, most new to my parents. In 1993, my boys and I moved into the apartment after their father died. I now live in the main house and continue the tradition of sharing this unique space with friends, family and travelers. I look forward to welcoming you as you help us honor my Grandmama and Poppa. You have everything you might need and if there is something missing, we will get it. Recently, a couple needed covered dishes to carry dinners to their family and we provided not only the dishes but a handy carrier for transporting the home made meals. The entire apartment is available and completely private. There is also a courtyard where one can enjoy sitting outside day or night. We recommend bug spray though during summer!!!! We live in the main house across the courtyard and are available to assist with any needs. However, we value your privacy and you may never see us unless you want. Texting reaches us instantly or just knock on our front door. Fearrington Village is a destination place for lunches, dinners, events, evening outdoor gatherings at The Roost. Chapel Hill is 15 minutes away. Raleigh, Cary and Durham are 30 to 45 minutes away. We will show you the back roads. Guests are able to sign up for the local gym. Others walk the trails. Some people stay while they are looking at property to buy or building a house in the area. Others are visiting friends and family. One couple is having medical visits at UNC Hospitals. We are a comfortable option for short or longer stays. We have lived here a long time and will try to answer any questions for local needs and interests. Parking is on our property. Public transportation is not an option. We can and have helped in an unusual situation. If you have special requests in advance of arriving, please let us know so we can make your arrival seamless and pleasant. There are dogs in the main house. One Doberman and three Chihuahuas. You never are in contact with them. Example, Beau the Dobie has his own fenced area.
