Midday is a stone’s throw from the seafront and 1.5 miles long promenade with views across the Solway Firth to the coastline and hills of Dumfries and Galloway. The area is well known for stunning sunsets and is an excellent base to explore the Lake District National Park and Hadrian’s Wall. Nearby is the Solway RSPB bird reserve at Campfield. Silloth is a Victorian seaside resort with a leisurely and peaceful atmosphere on the Solway Firth, which is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. The main attraction is a large expansive Green, a haven for family games and picnics. The Golf course is a renowned championship standard links course.
