Getaway! 2500 sq ft w/Fireplace - 1.5 hr from NYC!

1.5 hrs from NYC; minutes driving from hiking trails; 20 min from Beacon and Cold Spring! The bottom floor of this 1865 Carriage House has been transformed into an eclectic retreat. The 2500 sq ft private apartment has a room for every mood: curl up with a book in the front rooms, play and chill in the lounge, curl up to watch movies or the fire in the living room, eat or work in the breakfast nook and then the two bedrooms to fully unwind and sleep. There are two bedrooms each can sleep 2, there is in additional futon couch in the living room. The kitchenette is a mere 52" wide, but it's got everything you'll need toaster oven, mini fridge, microwave, a coffee pot, and a single [best reviewed] countertop burner. All brand new. There are, of course, dishes, glasses, mugs, utensils, etc. It's really well stocked. BUT, please note, it does not include a full size conventional oven or sink. There is a utility sink nearby for washing dishes, filling the coffee pot, or anything else you'd use a kitchen sink for. There is a propane grill in the exclusive pool area. We do allow pets, but require additional $50 cleaning fee. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through September and is sizeable, room for laps, lounging in a float or a game of pool hoops. The pool is not heated. You have a private entrance and the entire first floor, is completely private to you and your guests. You have access to all of the outdoor property, the fenced in pool is exclusive to you during your stay, apart from early morning maintenance. There is also a large yard shared yard seating and fire pit. The rental is the downstairs of the carriage house and has a separate entrance. There are no shared indoor areas. I live upstairs and will be readily available for questions, tips, needs, conversation, etc... Convenient to the highway and also close to hiking, parks, antiquing and more! Getting around involves driving, there is no nearby public transportation, and there is not much in walking distance but there is Uber! Also if you are just looking to relax, retreat at the house, I am happy to make arrangements to pick you up from the train for your time here and could also discuss/arrange, small local trips/transport for hire.
