Portal House

Located steps away from The Portal, trails await you and your bike! Oakridge is only a few minutes down the road. There are shuttle companies available for lots of fun days on the trails. The North Fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette is steps away and the temperature is perfect for cooling down after a day of activities. We've been busy renovating the house and can't wait to share it with you! The house was built in the 20's on a site that was previously a tent city where the workers from the mill across the river lived. The foundation on the corner of the lot was the Mill hospital. Across the covered bridge and to the left is where the mill used to be. Now it has magnificent views and blackberries galore (when in season). There is no television, so if you want screen time the WiFi works great with any device you bring with you. You have the whole house and the yard. As of 2018, the interior is wonderful. The exterior and yards are a work in progress. You have half of the garage for secure gear storage as well. I won't be there, but there are plenty of people ready to help if you need it. Names and phone numbers are available at the house. Our neighbors are so friendly and helpful. Be sure to say Hi if you see them. There is public transportation.
