Room features a luxurious king size bed, lounging area with sofa bed & tub chair, personal dining area, private en-suite 3-piece bath with extra large rain water shower, electric fireplace and TV with DVD player. The sofa bed folds down to a double bed for additional guests. A mattress topper is provided for added comfort. Fresh, elegant décor with creates a clean, open feel. Rooms can be rented singly or together for larger groups. Enjoy views of the marina from your room and from the outside patio. There is a shared kitchenette just outside your room, equipped with microwave, toaster oven, toaster, bar fridge, coffee maker, tea pot, dishes and cutlery so you can prepare simple meals at your convenience. We are just a 15 minute drive from the town of Duncan, famous for its farmer's market and totems. Explore the Cowichan Valley’s many culinary offerings: award-winning wineries, a cidery and brandy distillery, fine restaurants featuring delights made from local fare, and the many farm and garden markets where you can enjoy local produce straight from the earth. If you prefer a more active pace, there are many nearby bays, coves and marinas to explore, as well as plenty of hiking and biking trails— such as the Trans-Canada trail, with its newly restored Kinsol Trestle Trail. You can also take advantage of the location and go diving, kayaking, fishing, golfing, or whale watching. You won’t run out of things to do! Arrive by car, boat or float plane. The nearest city of Duncan is 15 minutes by away. Car rentals are available in Duncan and at Victoria and Nanaimo airports. Most attractions (wineries, cidery, tea farm, farmer's market, restaurants, whale-watching, kayaking) are within 5-30 minutes by car. Harbour Air offers daily service to Maple Bay from downtown Vancouver. Victoria airport (YYJ) and Swartz Bay (Victoria) ferry terminal (from Vancouver) is 1 hour by car. Nanaimo airport (YCD) is 1/2 hour by car and Departure Bay or Duke Point ferry terminals (Nanaimo) are 45 minutes by car. Maple Rise Guesthouse overlooks , just a 15-minute drive from the town of Duncan and a short hop from downtown Vancouver via Harbour Air. Three spacious guest rooms, each with own private entry, offer gorgeous marina views. Can be rented singly or together for larger groups. Room can accommodate up to 4 people.
