The Downtowner

A Hidden Gem in Portland's Downtown area! A newly remodeled historic home with Public transport & light rail across the street. Everything you could possibly want is within walking distance & everything is provided for your comfort - Just like home! The Downtowner boasts an urban backyard with a deck & a second story balcony looking onto a lush garden & fountain. There are 4 bedrooms. One with a Queen bed on the main level with an en suite bathroom. Upstairs there's a room with a King size bed, another room with a Queen & a third bedroom with adult size Bunkbeds (a twin on the bottom & a full on top). There is a bathroom upstairs too with all your bathroom essentials & a hairdryer. We have a very comfortable couch in the sitting room which converts to a Queen size bed . There is a laundry room with washer, dryer, sink & Iron. The kitchen is the social gathering place with a large breakfast bar seating 6 people. The table in the dinning room comfortably seats 8 people. No matter which room you step into in the Downtowner you have a lot of space. If you are a group larger than 8 guests, or you simply want to spread out & have more privacy, you can take a look at our property next door called: 5th Ave Townhouse which is a mirror image to this one. You could book it together if it's available! The property has a keyless entry with a code sent to you the day before you arrive. We always enjoy meeting our guests & hearing about their hometown as well as their experiences of our city. We also appreciate your time spent with family & friends so we're not intruding on you at anytime. Just know we're there if you want us to be! Easy accessibility to all of Portland's main attractions is without doubt the Reason D'etre for you to stay at the Downtowner! The Willamette River front promenades, urban forests, Theaters, shops, Restaurants, food carts, the farmers markets & much more. The Portland MAX (Light Rail) brings you from the airport all the way to our doorstep. One daily ticket gets you rides on all Portland buses, Light Rail & the street car. If you would prefer a Private Shuttle service to & from the airport I recommend "USA Airport Shuttle" If you are coming with a car we have one designated parking spot on the property ( possibaly 2- but you would need to check with me first), there is plenty of street parking around us (metered between 8:00am-7:00pm) or I can direct you to a reasonably priced long-term/overnight parking garage next door to our building if you have several cars or an oversized vehicle. There's an endless choice of rental car companies. Zipcar, Car2go and ReachNow. They all rent from an hour to a day! Everything is provided for making a Thanksgiving dinner to cocktails or just a smoothie for you in the kitchen. Books, movies for any age & toys for the children are there if you decide to stay in & take a break from sightseeing. We also have thought about your baby & have a crib with all it's organic bed linens ready for the little one.
