The Carriage House

This bright, newly renovated apartment is attached to a historic home in Clarksdale's oldest residential neighborhood. Beautifully appointed and fully equipped, the Carriage House is a quiet haven filled with natural light. Your private space includes a screened brick patio. The Carriage House is in a great location - a short, two-block walk to the heart of downtown Clarksdale. The main area includes the kitchen with breakfast bar, adjacent dining area, and living room. The screened brick patio is just off the living room. At the back of this large space is a small hallway leading to the bedroom and bathroom. Guests will have access to the Carriage House apartment, outdoor patio, and yard. You will have all the privacy you want, but I would love to meet you and I am happy to show you around town or to just give you some recommendations on restaurants, blues clubs, and other attractions. There is a wonderful walk in the immediate neighborhood. Within 4 - 6 square blocks, you can see The Clark House, the oldest house in Clarksdale and the Cutrer Mansion, one of the grandest; the home of a former Governor of Mississippi; Tennessee Williams Park; and numerous other lovely homes. You will be able to walk to downtown restaurants, clubs, museums and other attractions, but you will need a car for venturing further afield. There is no public transportation, but both Uber and Lyft are available though there are very few drivers. There are a number of guided tours available with transportation provided.
